RULES FOR VISITORS

Just like at every NASCAR race, fans at the South Point 400 in Las Vegas must follow Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s rules and regulations. Security staff will be on hand to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Prohibited items

To protect both safety and comfort, certain items cannot be brought into the venue. Anything that could pose a risk, interfere with the event, or create a hazard is not allowed. This also applies to tickets or merchandise being resold.

All guests are required to pass through security screening when entering the facility. Anyone who refuses may be denied entry without a refund. To avoid problems at the gates, it’s best to check the Speedway’s official list of prohibited items in advance. Some of the most common restrictions are highlighted below (please note this is not a full list):

  • Aerosol cans (except sunscreen, sunblock, hand sanitizer, and bug spray)
  • Alcoholic beverages (not allowed to enter or leave through the gates)
  • Bags larger than 18x18x14 inches
  • Chairs (collapsible or folding)
  • Confederate flags (prohibited in all RV lots and parking areas)
  • Coolers
  • Drones or any type of radio-controlled flying device
  • Drugs or illegal substances of any kind
  • Dry ice
  • Firearms or other illegal weapons
  • Fireworks
  • Frisbees, balloons, beach balls, footballs, or other projectile sports balls
  • Glass or ceramic containers
  • Golf carts, hoverboards, quads, UTVs, SxS, scooters, skateboards, Segways, dirt bikes, or similar personal transport devices (including licensed vehicles that may be street-legal)
  • Knives longer than 3 inches when closed or 6 inches when open
  • Laser pointers, noise-makers, or air horns
  • Monopods, tripods, and selfie sticks
  • Obscene or indecent clothing
  • Pets (except service animals)
  • Seat cushions with metal components
  • Stadium seats wider than 18 inches or with arms
  • Umbrellas
  • Wagons that are not collapsible

What you can bring

For a smooth and stress-free South Point 400 experience, pack light and stick to the essentials. Bring your phone, a portable charger or extra camera batteries, some cash, and your race tickets for each day. Adults will need a valid photo ID, and it’s also recommended to have identification for children. Keeping bags simple not only makes security checks faster but also gives you more time to focus on the excitement of race weekend.

Items permitted inside Las Vegas Motor Speedway:

  • Bags – Up to two per guest, clear or non-clear, not exceeding 18x18x14 inches; clear bags are recommended and offer access to an express line; all bags will be inspected.
  • Food – One item per guest, such as a sandwich, crackers, chips, or fruit; family-sized bags are not allowed.
  • Non-alcoholic beverage – One per guest, up to 64 ounces, in a plastic sports bottle, plastic cup, or metal tumbler (glass and ceramic containers are not allowed).
